The Stockton Ports led 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth when Darryl stepped to the plate and cranked out his first homer of the season. Stockton went on to win the game 5-3 and hopefully this blast will give Darryl a lot of momentum for the rest of the season.

  Saying Darryl is SMOKING HOTT would be an understatement as of the 8th of May. He has raised his average to a whopping .344 by safely hitting in 12 of the last 13 games. He also has 2 doubles, 2 Triples, 3 HR, and 13 RBI(surpassing last yrs totals already). He has a .373 on base Pct. and slugging is up to .590.

  Keeping this kind of production up for an extended period of time could have some other teams come calling or even better....a promotion to AA ball. KEEP IT UP DARRYL!!!

Darryl Lawhorn is tearing up the month of May. He has homered in 3 straight games and his numbers are climbing. He has raised his stats and one has got to believe that scouts and fans alike have got to be noticing. It's really too bad he is playing in California cause I know that friends and family alike would absolutely love to be able to attend the games and really enjoy this.
KEEP UP THE GREAT PLAY DARRYL!!!.....We're all rooting for you!!!

Darryl Lawhorn and Matt Sulentic homered to help the Stockton Ports beat the Lancaster JetHawks 6-2 on Wednesday at Clear Channel Stadium.

Stockton (30-16) leads the San Jose Giants (29-17) by one game in the California League's North Division after the Giants lost 4-3 at Modesto. The Ports and JetHawks play at 7 p.m. today in the second game of their four-game series.

Ports starter Jason Fernandez (5-2) got out of a jam in the third inning, when he got Josh Reddick to bounce into a bases-loaded, inning-ending double play.

In the fourth, Lawhorn broke a scoreless tie with a two-run home run, his six of the season, off JetHawks' starter Brian Steinocher. Stockton scored two more runs in the inning on an RBI single by Sulentic and a sacrifice fly by Archie Gilbert.Sulentic hit his fifth home run of the season with two outs and nobody on base in the fifth inning.
